Room of the Week 1.18.11 Colorful closets

Posted on January 16 2011 by Holly Steinfeld

Glass front doors, shelves for Manolo Blahniks and more, and a fun Schumacher wallpaper–that combo would certainly entice me to keep my closet more organized, just like it did this Little Rock homeowner.

I always begin the year with a closet cleaning and a resolve to stay organized and stay current. And some of the tips this new year in our feature on home organization caught my eye, like the tip from Nila Ciesiel of Closet Factory to paint your closet a color you love, so you’re enticed to keep it neat and make it your own special retreat.

Which is exactly what the Closet Factory team did at this Conway home, painting the closet a pretty pink that the homeowner loves.

For the husband, smoky gray glass was the color preference and a perfect foil to the color coded clothes, another tip from our home organization feature, designed to simplify selecting what to wear each morning.

The key to their style:

Schumacher “Go Baroque-Mirror” wallcovering

Sherwin-Williams “Loveable”

Grey glass

Is there a color you might paint your own closet or a wallpaper you’d like to try? What’s your key to keeping your closet organized?
